Entrepreneurship

We sup­port selec­ted indi­vidu­als with a tail­or-made train­ing pro­gramme for their respect­ive busi­nesses and accom­pany them on their way to self-employ­ment. In addi­tion, we demand and encour­age a con­stant exam­in­a­tion of the loc­al mar­ket con­di­tions in order to cre­ate a healthy and stable company.

WOMEN Empowerment

Women, espe­cially single moth­ers, receive sup­port for their children’s edu­ca­tion as well as for their med­ic­al care. By means of coach­ing, we sup­port women and encour­age them to shape their lives with con­fid­ence and to take con­trol of their own bod­ies in order to coun­ter­act the still wide­spread teen­age pregnancies.

Education

We start where edu­ca­tion is lack­ing or needs to be sup­ple­men­ted. Com­puter skills, writ­ten and spoken Eng­lish are just as much a part of this as all the neces­sary skills to build and/or main­tain a healthy busi­ness. By sup­port­ing fam­il­ies with school fees for their chil­dren, we ensure that the next gen­er­a­tion gets a good start in their work­ing lives through voca­tion­al training.

IMPACT

Through our work at Mama Africa, we are mak­ing a social impact on the ground in sev­er­al areas. Farm­ers are trained in sus­tain­ab­il­ity and eco­lo­gic­al aspects in order to achieve a slow shift in think­ing towards eco­lo­gic­al and future-ori­ented man­age­ment of agri­cul­tur­al land. The entre­pren­eurs can earn a mod­est prosper­ity and thus give their chil­dren a per­spect­ive in their own coun­try and ensure that they do not have to make their way as refugees to a more than uncer­tain future in Europe. In the long run, a middle class can be established.
